Meet Siobhan
What is Cognitive Hypnotherapy?
Cognitive Hypnotherapists are trained to understand you and what you are going through.
Cognitive hypnotherapy is science based and at the cutting edge of therapy. It is dynamic: continually evolving and improving as it keeps abreast of scientific, psychological and therapeutic breakthroughs. This pursuit of excellence is headed up by Trevor Silvester.
It was his fascination with brief talking therapeutic techniques that first formulated Cognitive Hypnotherapy and finally founded The Quest Institute, based in London. This internationally renowned training institute attracts students from around the world. Its prestige is well earned and I feel privileged not only to have done my training there but also to have been trained by Trevor himself.
This inspiring therapy draws on a number of validated theories from:
- Neuroscience
- NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming)
- Positive Psychology
- Evolutionary Psychology
- Cognitive Theory
- Gestalt Therapy
Using techniques and language based on your unique model of the world Cognitive Hypnotherapists guide you through your presenting issue towards your goal state.
Why Choose Me As Your Therapist?
Intense training at the prestigious Quest Institute in London has given me additional tools and insight to do what I have done all my life – help people to reach their full potential. The initial period of training culminated in a Diploma in Cognitive Hypnotherapy. Since then, my training has continued unabated through reading, courses, workshops and seminars, ensuring that I keep abreast of all the trends and latest techniques.
Further training has included Life Coaching in the guise of ‘Project You’ – a richly faceted and supportive approach to Life Coaching, offering the extremely powerful therapy aspect from Cognitive Hypnotherapy, to help remove blocks and limitations in the journey to one’s goals.
Bi-lateral Analysis and Stimulation Treatment
This simple and effective technique, somewhat similar to EMDR, helps find the ‘seed’ of the problem issue quickly and effectively. Treatment, too, is rapid with very positive results.
Decades of yoga practice and teaching have instilled deep understanding of the power of breath to underpin and shape each moment of our lives. The intelligent use of breath in therapy adds immense benefit to whatever techniques are being used. Our breath is powerful. Harnessing that power and breathing with intention is our greatest life tool.
