Banish Traumatic Memories
Emotional problems can stem from a past trauma or unprocessed emotions. You might feel that you can’t control your emotions. You might feel depressed, overwhelmed or constantly panicking and worrying that this isn’t ever going to end. Cognitive Hypnotherapy can help you overcome the trauma and the emotions by training your unconscious mind to control them.
Hypnotherapy for past trauma
Trauma can cause a number of different responses in sufferers: flashbacks, depression, anxiety, nightmares, inability to take up the reins of life in a meaningful way, irrational anger and fear, anxiety , memory loss and many more.
This debilitating disorder can make life a difficult ordeal and often impacts on every area of the sufferer’s life, particularly their relationships. Experiencing trauma can be overwhelming for the senses and psyche; so much so that the mind is unable to process the experience and move on. Cognitive Hypnotherapy offers several techniques to help deal with the symptoms and “detoxify” the response to the memory of the experience that triggered the PTSD. The aim of this therapy is to identify the symptoms and their cause and to help create goals for the future.
Siobhan was just brilliant; no joss sticks or soft music, just an explanation of why the brain doesn’t rationally process when one is in an anxious state – which was for me the eureka moment and I haven’t looked back since just 2 sessions. My blood pressure is down and I haven’t had a drop of alcohol this month.

I was extremely reluctant to contact Siobhan but the therapy I have received from her has had an incredibly positive impact on my life. Thank you, and you will be my first call if I feel I need to talk.

This terrible thing has been permanently in my face, in my every moment, in my every relationship, present in my dreams every second (it seems) since it happened so long ago. No longer. I worked with Siobhan’s sensitive and strong support and ‘this terrible thing’ is now simply a memory of something that happened a long time ago. A memory. A distant memory. My life belongs to me now and I’m healing in so many other areas because of this new freedom.
